Bredesen campaign manager busted!

Another democrat leader goes down , Carl R."Bubba" Scarbrough of Anderson county is free on $10,000 bond following his arrest on a charge of statutory rape of a 13 year old boy. My sources tell me this is not his first act of perversion but in the past he was let go by the police and the words "when finding out of the suspects political status he was released" were actually used on the police report as the reason to let him go . Maybe they can replace him with democrat leader Marty Taylor of Roane county who was quoted as saying "we are for pornography, marijuana and gambling" on a recent T.V. show.

  1. First let me say: I pray for this man and his family.

Second: Who let this pervert go on prior charges? Should they be prosecuted?

Third: Is the first question on a democrat application - Are you a pervert or a crook? If answer is yes please continue with the application.

  3. Marty when is your little show on anyway ? I hear rumor that you are getting a radio show also. Please let me know so I can be sure to not listen.

  4. Marty,
Who said Thomas favored Medical Marijuana? I suspect this is the typical Liberal cluelessness on judicial matters: just because he said that states should have the right to legislate in this area (or that the Commerce clause doesn't preempt a state from legalizing marijuana) doesn't mean that he is with you on this issue. That's the difference between Liberal jurists and Conservative ones--Libs think you get to write law when you become a judge. By the way, you probably DON'T agree with Thomas that a state should be allowed to legalize handguns in a school zone, right?

  5. Good one, Powertee! When will I be able to use my gun for anything other than to look at? I bought it to protect me, but I must be at home for that to happen. Sheesh.

Hello Stacy! How are you? Well, I hope. It looks like they are really cleaning up TN. I just have one question: Why is his bail only $10,000??? Do the courts not realize pedephilia is rampant? Most minorities and poor people have higher bails than this. Why? It isn't fair.

    Have a great day.

  6. Marty, poor punctuation doesn't make a very good substitute for proper sentence structure.

  7. we are for pornography, marijuana and gambling

She should be. I have yet to see a compelling reason for the state to regulate any of those, with the exception of keeping them out of the hands of minors.

  8. Shouldn't that be "goes down again"?

The reason his bail is so light is that under Tennessee law bail should be the minimum amount likely to insure the defendant will show up in court.

Absolutely NOTHING ELSE may be considered by the judgee in the setting of bail- not the severity of the offense, not the safety of the community, not risk of harm to victims or witnesses, not past record, none of those things.

    Just appearance.

  9. Yes, our party has been hit pretty hard over the last couple of weeks. I don't know about the for porn, marijuna, and gambling. I think it is okay as long as it is regualated. I think carrying handguns in schoolzone is okay as long as the owner is registered. I don't think very many people who pay all the money to register a handgun are the ones shooting up schools.

I am sure that there are some conservatives with pediphillia and some concervatives that are crooks. I think these charactersitics are better placed on the individual than the party. If he is involved in those items, those actions are not representative of the party.

  10. to 66 rustang:

There you go again with that morale equivalence spin again! I definitely know of some conservatives who are crooks--not so sure about "pediphilia". That's not the point. The point is the relative rates of bad behavior and the degree of taking out the trash. Compare Joh Wilder's Demo Do Ci Do(sp?) to Howard Baker and Fred Thompson's performance.

  11. In what regard? If you can supply links, I can evaluate. I haven't been involved with politics very long and am only vaugly (sp?) familiar with what you are referring? I know Thompson was a former Senator. Not familiar with Howard Baker...I know the name but not achievements

  12. Stacey, if you dont know when the show is on how can you reference what was said? Do you have your handlers from Oak Ridge feeding you information? as for the radio show, whether you listen or not is your business. I listen to all points of view before making a decision, not just talk among a small group of people who always agree with me.Ive always enjoyed the many times we were on the radio together. We were usually on opposite sides of the issues but always civil. If you feel taking personal shots at someone is the way you want to conduct yourself,go ahead. As for me i will always try to show respect to my opponents. I will play the game hard, but fair. If you do the same ,you will get a lot more accomplished in Nashville and in life. The general comment going around Nashville is that you are a horses a**.Ive defended you from this charge(made by Democrats and Republicans) many times. I hope you aren't proving me wrong.

  13. Marty ,
I dont mind talking different points, When you make bold statements such as you did word gets out quick, are you saying you did not say it ? If it is not true I will post an apology immediately. I dont think I said any thing personal I just choose to not listen to points of view I feel are Way outside of the public good. Do you listen to Rush ?

  14. STACEY, I LISTEN TO RUSH A LITTLE EVERY DAY.ALSO AIR AMERICA. IM PRETTY DIVERSE IN MY LISTINING HABITS. MY VIEW HAS BEEN CONSISTENT ON THE ISSUES . PEOPLE,NOT GOVERNMENT, SHOULD MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS WHEN IT COMES TO MORALITY.(AS LONG AS IT DOESNT HARM SOMEONE ELSE). IT CAN NEVER BE LEGISLATED WITHOUT A MASSIVE ENFORCEMENT EFFORT BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT(SEE THE FAILED DRUG POLICY OF THE LAST 30 YEARS) DOCTORS AND PATIENTS SHOULD MAKE HEALTH CARE DECISIONS. STATES SHOULD BE ABLE TO DECIDE WHAT IS LEGAL AND WHAT IS NOT . WE NEED LESS FEDERAL POWER, NOT MORE.I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A SO CALLED CONSERVATIVE LIKE BUSH WOULD STAND FOR THE EROSION OF STATE RIGHTS LIKE HE HAS.I TRY TO BE CONSISTENT ON FREEEDOM ISSUES AND THAT DOES PUT ME AT ODDS WITH MY FELLOW DEMOCRATS SOMETIMES. GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT BE ASKED TO SOLVE ALL OF OUR PROBLEMS. THAT IS A LESSON I HOPE MODERN DAY CONSERVATIVES SOON LEARN.

  15. The philosophy of what ever feels good must be good is no way to build a healthy society .Please tell me how pornography builds up or improves the plight of females of any age. Please tell me how gambeling brings together more familys then it pulls apart or how it teaches sound financial theory. Please tell me how legalizeing illigal gateway drugs for ALL people as you have in the past advocated teaches children to be responsible adults .my experience is that Kids emulate what they see adults do and usually do more of what they see.do you think that is what we need?

    ReplyDelete
  16. They do see parents eating a lot of fast food making the parents and the children obese. I see your point there. Are you advocating a system where we bad/regualate items that could lead to problems if used in excess? Many items would fall under this category. Sex, TV, alcohol, food, diets, etc. How does one determine which items should be banned because of their adverse effects from abuse? Ones that have no benefit at all? Ones that have a severely limited benefit compared to its costs?

Medicial marijuana does have some benefits. It increases appetite, while relieving pain. Moreover, its something that can be grown cheaply so many drug companies don't like it. It would cut into their profits.

If you try to go to magnet school in Nashville and in many other communities, you must enter a lottery to get accepted. I know Hume Fogg is that way. It teaches children in lotteries there are few winners and many losers. Kids are subject to gambling, not all gambling involves money.

I don't quite see a purpose for porn however. I don't see its affects as detrimental on society as the previous two items either. I don't belive that kids should read them instead of comic books either. What is the problem with two adults looking at porn?

I don't mean these comments as a rant or rave...just questions so I can understand other points of view.

Many of the things you mentioned are regulated ,that is what laws do.many are taxed at higher rates as a form of regulation.I dont think it costs money to apply to a magnet school ,you are not worse off then when you started if you do not get in (or are only to a very limited point).Porn objectifies females.I was asking about non medicial marajuana.

  19. But don't the women in porn make that choice? I would believe some women may be forced to be involved in the porn industry. Why is it wrong if the women makes the choice? Or men in this matter. I think male porn is also increasing in popularity. (not trying to open a whole new can of worms with the previous statement. It is purely an objective opinion)

No, it does not cost to enter a lottery for magnet schools.
