Bill Back In

Fellow Knoxvillian and state rep Bill Dunn is back in the race to lead the republicans in the house .Bill had previously said he could not do it because of work and family but the good people at Cortesee tree were able to work with him to make this possible and his family blessed the entire idea so Bill joins the race with Glen Casada,Harry Brooks,Jason Mumpower,Paul Stanley and Curry Todd.

  1. Great to hear this!

Bill is my state rep and like you Stacy, seems to be one of the few conservatives left in the Tenn. legislature with a backbone to call 'em like you see 'em.

  2. Although I don't always agree with Dunn, he is a very respectable person and held in high regard among the interns. I am glad to see that his employer is allowing him to continue to serve his people. It's unfortunate that many employers don't feel the same way.

  3. Though I wholeheartedly support Rep. Dunn and I'm glad that he has arranged to take on more responsibility in Nashville, I'm not sure it would be "fortunate" for "many" employers to even appear to keep elected officials on their payroll (Chris Newton). Perhaps the answer is to truly have a part-time legislature.
