Another legislator has started a blog
Republican Senator Doctor Raymond Finney is the latest legislator who sees the benefit in ability to reach out and inform as well communicate with his constituents on the internet. Doctor Finney is one of the good guys who is willing to do what ever he can to help people.He is also definitely for more open government. As you may remember Doctor Finney was the first legislator to post all his bills on the net for all to see as they roll through committee.
On the issue of posting bills I have been in negotiations with a company that will put ALL the bills from Tennessee on the net. Not in the mess that the state puts them out but in a form that people will be able to use.
Ask for the bills that your legislator put out and you will get them. Ask what bills they put out on a special issue and you will get it. Ask what bills are going around in the state on a special issue and you will get them. Ask what bills other states have on a special issue and you will get them. Ask about where a bill is or how it was voted on in committee and you will get it. I should have this up soon.
