Williams quits Republican party

Well, many people wondered when it would happen. Now it has.

Williams has said the party has left him.

Did he ever mention one issue the party left him on? One issue he does not agree with Republicans on? One issue he thought that Republicans should back down on? I am ready to hear them. I will post them on this blog. Can any one name one time republicans asked him for one vote on any issue other then leadership? To my knowledge the only issue he has ever been unhappy with was the decision to replace him or the structure that kept him in power.

Lt. Gov. Ramsey comments: "Just 64 days ago, Sen. Williams voted for me for Speaker of the Senate and Lieutenant Governor. I appreciated his support and the Senate Republican Caucus wanted him to be a valued and contributing member. Unfortunately, Sen. Williams did not feel comfortable with conservative Republican leadership. Apparently his ideology no longer fits within the Republican philosophy. I wish him the best."
