Briley wants to keep secrecy

Rep. Rob Briley wants the history of judicial nominees to be discussed in secret for fear some candidates may not want to expose their questionable history. (Insert joke here).

This is an example of why judges should be truly elected instead of selected and put on the ballot for a yes/no vote. The yes/no vote system is called "the Tennessee plan". The Tennessee plan was put in place a few years ago to supposedly fulfills the constitutional requirement that all judges be elected.

Can legislators get that same deal? It would make running for office a lot easier.
