Lottery scholarship battles

This is starting to follow the same pattern that happened last year. We waited until the last second to get a plan together and ended up doing nothing.

Their are two (Currently) views on how the excess lottery money should be spent. some like 2.75 for all 5 years. Some like 2.75 for 3 years and either 3.0 cumulative or current semester average after that (with a bunch of other things added in). Many legislators don't like either plan and feel rushed into what they feel is two mediocre plans with an unsecured income source. Many think we should come back next year and do it right when we are not as rushed to make an important decision.

They decided to do another conference committee to see if they can work it out again.

We will see.
