The water balloon is next

Terry Frank has a great post on the making it so kids under 18 must get parental consent to buy a squirt gun in Tennessee. The money quote from Terry on this has to be

Now in Tennessee, if your 13 year old little daughter wants to get an abortion without Mommy or Daddy knowing, heck, we can’t get nannystaters like DeBerry to even acknowledge that a girl has a parent that might want to know.

The comment section is great, it include Bill Dunn and a spot on definition of most legislators by Terry.

We’ve got several very bright folks down there. Then we have several bright legislators with no spine. And then there are the smart legislators with no moral compass.

And then there are the really pathetic, stupid ones. And most of the time, I’ve found that they really aren’t that dumb, they just could care less. They are too lazy to even find out what in the heck they are voting on.


This legislation is more of what we saw last year with the banning of squirt guns on campus. Word was any thing that looked like a gun was out including a pointed finger. I am sure they will next go after water balloons because they might look like a hand grenade.
