Hobbs creates firestorm for being Hobbs

Bill Hobbs gets a big article in the Tennessean for being Bill Hobbs. Good job Bill. I love it when liberal Democrats come on to blogs or comment section in articles saying what a terrible job someone is doing. I know that person must be doing something right. I think "Wow the left is in an uproar wanting a conservative to stop doing something.....He must be doing something right! It has obviously hit a nerve on the liberals"

The only ones better are when they try to cover their tracks by saying "I am a liberal democrat and I say keep it up. You are just destroying your own party." Yes, and you are somehow a trusted source for us to follow on what to do for the good of the party? Get real. When someone takes their marching orders from the left I doubt their intentions are pure.

Or better yet when they get creative and say "I am a life long Republican (or conservative) and I am against Hobbs because....." As soon as I hear the words "I am a life long Republican" I know the next thing to come out of their mouth is probably going to be some liberal talking point. Next time you hear talk radio check this formula for yourself it is correct about 90% of the time.


Some people on the right or in the middle fall for this and think we need to capitulate and be quiet. They think somehow we will just win by our charismatic policy. That people will take the time to read our facts and figures and we will win because we are nice people.

I wish it were true.

We on the right fight an uphill battle getting our facts and talking points out many times (especially in the national MSM) because most of the national media leans left and they report on what they want to talk about. Can anyone tell me the last McCain story they heard that in some way didn't say "He's old"?. I hear a lot of how the left is attacking him on this issue or that issue or how he will be terrible on that issue or hammering him on how he said this or that. But when one of our candidates says something negative or brings up the true history on one of their candidates we are suddenly being mean and we need to be quiet, we need to quit being so partisan, we need to unify like the left does not divide. They seldom notice when the left is unifying. It is unifying against us and our ideas and ideals.

This is how we lose.

We let them talk like us or about us at election time and don't want to prove otherwise or we decide to act like them and think it will win them over. It never works.

Some people will try to point to a republican candidate who follows this pattern and is seldom beaten. The funny thing is these people are either very rich or in a district that is overwhelmingly Republican in the first place. There is little to no way they could get beat if the left tried. But still the person decide to act like them. They may get a crumb or two but they never advance the conservative agenda.

What a waste.

Hobbs keep up the great work. Keep telling our side for once. As an old WWII bomber pilot once said "You take the most flack when you are right on target"
