It is all related

How do you pass school choice? Just pass a dress code. It seems after a dress code was implemented in one school (Fulton High, in Knoxville) to bring up discipline and test scores, some students didn't like the idea of having to follow the same rules as every one else, so they refused to follow along. The schools solution was to bus them to another school that does not have a dress code and is already getting better results in standardized testing (I am told Farragut).

Another school system in Anderson county has decided to go to federal court to decide if a belt buckle is being used to intimidate other students or to help hold up pants.

Back in Knoxville the governor want to talk to kids about violence in their school (Central, in Knoxville), after a school shooting left one child dead, in the hopes it will "promote healing".

Meanwhile across town two more illegal guns show up in the hands of students at Austin East. Could a transfer be in their future? If not, possibly a good talking to by the governor will help.

In Smyrna one school went into lock down after an armed and dangerous man was reported to be heading to the school for his kid. Possibly he was just coming to drop off his kids belt buckle.

I wonder if the other students will receive any of the 6.1 million dollars for victims of violence fund money. They will need it because we know they wouldn't be able to afford a ride to the hospital since the governor cut 11 million out of the EMS transportation fund.

In Texas one school system implemented a plan allowing teacher to carry guns to protect students from violence should a Columbine or Virginia Tech type incident break out. The governor is good with the plan and thinks kids need less rides to the hospital and "heal" better when they are still alive.

I wonder how he feels about belt buckles?
