Tennessee politics behind the scenes
Stacey -Uh oh. Have you seen that show? It is rarely flattering to those being interviewed.Grover Norquist came out OK, but the average person gets skewered by Penn.Good luck!Rob
I don't want to get in the way of publicity, but are you SURE you want to do this?Just asking...
Rep. Campfield, as your #1 Facebook friend to the end, don't listen to these hand-wringers. They clearly don't want you to reach new levels in your career and are jealous of all the attention you are getting. You will do great, and all of America will watch and learn as you explain why it's important to stop sexualizing our school children with people kissing in "Cinderella" or helping Heather put on her gay shoes in "Heather Has Two Mommies."Don't let these people here at home try to tear you down and trick you into declining this opportunity. Do it for the children, Stacey.
That's not gonna be pretty. Penn Gillette is going to likely smear you with a bunch of f-bombs. He's merciless.
From what I remember of earlier shows, they aren't fans of sexualizing children, but were also very harsh on the over-protective Safety Nazi parents. I would look for the child abduction episode "Stranger Danger (season 6) and the boy scouts episode (season 4). You can get them on Netflix on watch instantly. On Stranger Danger in particular they consider it criminal to rob a child of his childhood by making him think that there are evil abductors lurking around every corner to snatch him up. That's the job of parents, in their opinion. The main thing to remember is that the camera is always rolling (like when you are fixing your hair and after the interview is "over") and that your answers may be played without the question that prompted them. Also, P&T are Libertarians, so they are no fans of government indoctrination of children, pro- or anti-homosexuality.
perfect show for you to be on.
