Bredesen seems to be getting more and more aggressive on putting tax increases into the "Technical corrections" bill. The bill was intended as a catch all sweeper for minor glitches in the law that needed straightening. Bredesen has turned it into his tax increase package year after year for his budgets. Bredesen has been very crafty at doing this and then denying they are tax increases. Bredesen and many democrats have used this as a shield, avoided the "Tax and spend" governor or legislator label.

The new Republican majority is trying to show this bill for what it has become.
Just another tax bill.
