Once I was an anti-gun advocate like a Columbine massacre victim, (name withheld's) mother. I had only to have her tell me personally that, after agonizing over her loss, she had come to the conclusion that "because no one was there nor could have ever been there to protect her son", she had acquired a gun. That was the very day I changed my position on guns. Senator, thank you for fighting to protect my children. The people who fail to appreciate this effort have not felt the grief of that mother's loss.
