Mandating teaching gay history

The bill mandating that state schools must teach gay history just passed in California on a party line vote.

  1. Will this be part of Frist/Woodson/Haslam/Arne Duncan's Common Core State Standards?

  2. This isn't as big of a deal as the foolish comments beneath that article make it out to be. California, more than any other state, has a long history that includes handling homosexuals. They aren't teaching students "how to be gay" but rather how the state has dealt with homosexuality socially, culturally, and legally. It's part of the state's history. It's no different than teaching the history of civil rights in the southern states during the Johnson administration.

  3. Unbelievable! http://www.hollywoodrepublican.net/?p=5048
