Guns in cars in Reverse

The bill to allow guns to be stored in cars in parking lots looks to be on life support.... At best. Some legislators had concerns about private property rights.

I think it could pass if the bill was backed down to allow private secure lots to retain limiting rights but I am not sure if the will is there to make it happen.

  1. I don't think this is an important issue that should be taking up legislative time in Tennessee. Let's focus on putting Tennesseans back to work.

  3. How the hell is it a PROPERTY RIGHT to be able to enforce criminal sanctions against somebody? That doesn't even make sense.

Just erase the criminal penalty. If the employer wants to fire the employee or sue for supposed damages, let him.

  4. My vehicle is my private property.

I will both keep and bear arms while in it.

Regardless of what you and all the other politicians have to say about it.

BTW, said vehicle is not a Volkswagen, and I won't be using FedEx.

  5. So, just for the sake of argument, one or more of your employees is being stalked and threatened by their spouse. They are carring a weapon in their vehicle for self defense to and from work. How or where does your private property right over ride their right to defend themselves? If you are able to render them defenseless on their comute, what are your legal liabilities for an attack they suffer as a result? Just sayin...
