Making states follow foreign law

As many people know I had a sheriffs bill that would say states don't have to pay to implement federal law that the state sees as unconstitutional. That responsibility would be left up to the federal government.

That bill was killed.

One of those bills in serious question was the Lacey act. It has state and local governments not only implementing Federal law, but international and foreign law.

The law lead to the Gibson guitar raid in Nashville because Gibson bought wood that may or may not have been allowable to be sold under international/foreign law.

Now the fight is on to repeal the Lacey act but its results look questionable.
