Tennessee politics behind the scenes
What kind of insensitive imbecile thinks it's okay to post a picture like this? Do you think it's a joke? Three people dead, one an eight year old child and you think it's something to laugh about? I really hope the people of this state start seeing who you really are and get your disrespectful sorry excuse for a human being out of the state senate!
Nowhere in this post do I see anyone laughing over death. The post is about double standards. May I point out your comment to the senator being a "disrespectful sorry excuse for a human being" is itself disrespectful, a perfect example of a double standard.
Ban All Pressure Cookers! Disrespectful my A$$! That is what you, a "law abiding citizen" are implying. SMH, Just as bad as all the gun "bills/laws etc."
Keep crying, leftist. We are winning the war against the second amendment by pointing out the victim disarmament crowd's hypocrisy with posts like this.Your tears are delicious.
Keep crying, AA.We are winning the war against the victim-disarmament crowd with posts like this.
Again easy to comment anonymously!
Right, only a good person with a pressure cooker bomb can stop a bad person with a pressure cooker bomb. More insensitive crap from the kings of stupid, the Tennessee GOP. NRA logic carried to the full logical fail.I'm sorry you are a paranoid creep but your guns are a threat to the health of the public. Why the gun fetish and idolatry anyway? What are you scared of? Those black helicopter coming for you John Birchers?
The media and the current administration has been doing the same thing with Sandy Hook and AR-15's for the last 4 months. Now they want to call a pressure cooker a weapon of mass destruction. To put things into perspective, that's from the same people who think an AR-15 is an assault weapon.I think it illustrates how ridiculous their ban on scary looking guns is.
I'm waiting to see if biden can attend the funeral for the boy without politicizing the event somehow to support the administration's agenda.
Great post. Maybe they will recognize their hypocracy in federal legislation... Or more likely we will have universal background checks on fireworks and kitchen impliments.
Yes it is, which is exactly what you are doing as well... after your usual knee-jerk reactions to everything
Leftist with no humor that refuses to see the double standard
Why do you people keep acting as if Campfield is a victim? He's not, he just needs to find a way to stick his foot in that mouth of his sometimes. The people that died in the Boston Marathon were victims, the children who died at Sandy Hook were victims. No amount of political grandstanding is going to change that. He made a comment he shouldn't have (as per the usual) and now he is getting flack for it. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
Accumulated Apperception needs a new set of accumulated perceptions if he doesn't find this comparison humorous. It's not about the people who died, you silly, silly man! It's about how crazy people (like you) think that guns kill - - just like the pressure cookers killed. See how silly that sounds? Now you know what you sound like to us!
Too much hate on here. No wonder the country is in such trouble. This pressure cooker business is insensitive and unkind and ridiculous. Grow up.
As for insensitive jokes. Vice president Biden made a joke during the slain police officers funeral!!!!!!!!!! YES!!! Soooooooo......???You want to vote him out too? Vast difference between a blog post and actually telling a joke while speaking at a slain police officers funeral. do you think that was inappropriate? Is Biden a low life scum bag for getting in front of a grieving family and making a joke? why not pull a hissy over that one?
First, I'm a woman. Second, I have never once stated that an inanimate object kills, but that does not excuse the need for regulation. If anyone R or D had made a comment about joke about a gun in the way that this senator has about a pressure cooker then I would and have said the same thing. The point is he is being insensitive and rude and has chosen the Boston Marathon tragedy to do so. Only someone like you would think that it's okay to take the pain of another and turn it into a damn joke. Otherwise, maybe your senator could have actually showed a bit of sympathy to the victims, but no he still thinks it funny!
Did Stacey eat paint chips as a child or was he ruthlessly bullied in Junior High?? Making some kind of stupid joke is not governance. Republicans are retarded.
YOU LEFT WINGERS MAKE ME LAUGH LOL.
The "low-information-voter" is so predictable: they operate on the surface of thought. It's not (typically) that they're stupid it's just that they don't question the pablum they've been fed.
So.... AA... the fact that people posted pictures of guns and labeled all their parts after the Sandy Hook shooting wasn't insensitive? It's the same exact thing. Liberals have been posting jokes about guns and gun owners. Where is your sanctimonious outrage over that. If you get pissed over the item someone uses to shoot someone you sure as hell should get pissed over the item someone uses as a bomb.
"Do you think it's a joke?"Do, you are the joke. You are apparently too filled with hatred of humanity to follow a simple logical argument.
WOW are you guys really that shallow that you can't even read between the lines of this posted photo? Hell I'm not even American, and yet the context as to why this photo was posted, screams out the obvious. First, this Senator is against gun control as many other Americans are. Second, he is driving home a point to y'all that while the powers that be are scrambling to strip you of all your firearms, then maybe they should also ban all pressure cookers as well since it to has been used as a weapon for mass murder. He's simply making a comparison by illustrating the fact that there is really no difference. What he's trying to say is that banning firearms is NOT gonna solve the problems that plague your society and it's sure as hell NOT gonna stop Americas most disturbed psychopaths from venting their inner rage by looking for alternative methods to create mass murder and chaos. Wake up!!!
Nah, the post is fine. The problem is yours.
Here's your card! You bit the bait! The point is and always will be that GUNS don't kill people, people kill people. I can PROMISE you that if every single gun as to disappear tomorrow, gangs would grab the knife and start killing.. Or rope and hang em from the highest tree. Run them over with a car.. Jesus if you don't get that you are worthless.. The point of the picture of the pressure cooker is to show that if you look at something as a weapon, it does not matter what it was made for, only what your intend to do with it.. Your mouth was made for debating, you used it for slander,, DO YOU GET THAT? Probably not. the left has a small blind side, it resembles an ELEPHANT..
Some of you need to do some of your own research and put MSM to the side for a bithttps://sites.google.com/site/911whatyoumighthavemissed/boston-bombing/who-took-this-picture
“Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people.” -- Isaiah 10:1-2
Oh, this is VERY rich coming from you--on the heels of your attempts to take away benefits from the poor based on their child's school performance!!!And let's talk about the oppressed LGBT community that you have been gunning for over the past several years! Woe unto you, Stacey...
sorry... I thought the above comments came directly from Campfield.
same idea different person, why offer an apology to one and not the other? yep, good ole double standard.
So the solution to school shootings is to outlaw the weapons used because "the people of Sandy Hook deserve a vote" but the solution to bombings is not to outlaw the bomb materials?
The only use for guns is to kill things, and nobody is discussing banning all guns in any case. The laws under consideration were to expand background checks for weapons to gunshows and non-family personal transfers, and to limit magazine sizes to 10 bullets. That's all. Not to take anyone's guns away.Besides, the pressure cooker wasn't actually used as the weapon as far as we can tell, it was just a convenient way to hold the bomb materials.
No, nitwit -- a black powder explosive needs a pressure vessel, or it just goes "pfffft!" and burns fast. Even the rolled paper of a firecracker is a low-grade pressure vessel.
That's use as a weapon dude.
It was the NRA backed Republicans who opposed putting chemical taggers in gunpowders and other explosives.
LOL @ pressure cooker being just the "holder" of bomb materials and not "actually used as the weapon"! Now THAT's funny stuff!!!!! In that same vein, guns aren't actually used as weapons. They're just a convenient way to hold the firing materials! hehehe!
It isn't actually the gun that kills, it's the bullet which is discharged out of the gun when a human finger pulls the trigger.
To "unknown"............ Here! This is what the nutcase liberals think like, he just says it different.. but just as stupidly,.. "The PC wasn't actually used as the weapon".......??? By thinking that the gun is not actually a weapon, it is just a convenient way to hold the bullet.. Makes just as much sense..
Oh mercy me, y'all never heard of sarcasm? Hey Stacey, it's me, Jenny, and I get it......
While obviously a comment on some Democratic Congresscritter's readiness to ban guns as bad, even though people are killed with other items; it really is rather insensitive to post something like this. Perhaps a blog post on the idiocy of trying to ban anything that could possibly be used to kill people is in order.
Yes, I'm waiting for a Bill to ban pressure cookers, airplanes and fertilizer plants.
While obviously intended as a way to show how idiotic some Senators (mostly Democrats) are in trying to ban 'assault weapons'; this only comes across as insensitive and mean.Perhaps a blog post talking about how idiotic it is would be in order, but this picture doesn't do it.
To folks in the gun community, this was hilarious because the horrible application of gun terminology that is used in the media and by politicians was applied to this pressure cooker. It looks ridiculous to anyone who looks at the picture, especially if they know anything about pressure cookers. What you need to understand is that for those of us who understand and use guns, this is how ridiculous Feinstein, McCarthy, DeGette, and others look when they pontificate on why assault weapons are so evil. Time after time, they use wrong terminology, correct terminology applied to the wrong part of the gun, or just totally make things up about why certain parts of the gun make it "more lethal."
I can't believe how dumb you are. You must be from Tennessee. Or florida. Same difference apparently.
I dated a Reformed Catholic once. He didn't have a sense of humor either!
Since you are not from Tennessee or Florida I'm sure people sit at your feet waiting for more pearls of wisdom like the one above to roll from your mouth. btw. you didn't capitalize Florida.
Accumulated Apperception, after seeing your hateful and ignorant moonbat blog, I wouldn't be lecturing others on being an imbecile. Grow up.
I'm very offended that a no-named user thinks I'm hateful. Use your name and try again...lol
I don't see you posting with your name, you hateful and ignorant embecile.
The point is i'm not "anonymous" you very much so have a way to contact me if you choose. BTW it's imbecile, but this "ignorant" woman is leaving now.
Accumulated Apperception .....They're just speaking the truth in hopes that you realize how silly you sound. Well, silly, hateful, ignorant - depends on your accumulated apperception, wouldn't ya say?
Is that the name that appears on your food stamp card?
I don't know who this guy is. This is not the smartest thing to do right now. But it does make a point about gun control. Terrorists are going to terrorize. We have laws on the books to deal with this already. We don't need more laws that restrict law abiding citizens like those of us who are posting here, on both sides of the gun control issue.
Joe Biden cracking a joke at the slain police officers funeral was not the wisest thing to do.
You are right! That was equally insensitive. So I guess you are saying Campfield’s remark is justified because Biden makes equally detestable remarks. It doesn’t make what Stacey did ok, it just makes them both wrong. Feel better now?
The senator makes a very good point. I have heard the exact same things from friends and family. a pressure cooker can't kill unless a human being with a twisted mind decides to make it do so. I don't agree with everything the senator says or how he says it but, he has hit the nail on the head with this one.It seems like some people are ready to pounce on the senator no matter what he says. If he were to write a post in favor of puppy's and grandma's he would be hated.
A crockpot wasn't created to kill. Guns were. There is a big difference.
unless you live in some victim-disarmament hellhole like NY, half of you neighbors have guns. For some reason, they haven't leaped out of their closets to kill you when you go out to pick up the mail.Neither has your pressure cooker.Something else is needed for that ... something like evil intent. Good luck on banning that.
SO??? The gun still won't kill unless the human using it uses it to kill. And saying that a gun was created to kill doesn't mean that it's nothing but a murder weapon. They're used every day to kill animals for food, to put down animals on a farm, to defend families and individuals (sometimes by killing bad guys, sometimes just by being shown to them). Others never kill anything since some people buy them only for target shooting.Yes, the primary, original intent of guns was to kill. Whether they are used for evil or for good depends wholly on the person wielding them. Same goes for pressure cookers which can be made to explode in many ways other than by the use of gunpowder.
excuse me??? these crock pots WERE created to kill people, just like 100s of others things to get the same result... It's the CRIMINAL behind them thats the problem!!!!!
According to our present administration. A pressure cooker is a weapon of mass destruction.A gun, at the most, is only a scary looking assault weapon. Yes there is a big difference.
"A crockpot wasn't created to kill. Guns were. There is a big difference." was posted as an intelligent response... I wonder if the individual also recalls that neither was fertilizer... remember the bombings in the past decade or so. Perhaps we should require a background check for farmers.
Crockpots don't kill, crackpots do!!!!!!!
Surgeons didn't get their skills to kill, but they kill more people than guns and autos combined
"a pressure cooker can't kill unless a human being with a twisted mind decides to make it do so..." So I suppose everyone is OK with North Korea possessing nuclear weapons, because as YOU all know, weapons don't kill....This senator is a prime example of the renegade Congress' insensitivity. In the next election, the 90% will remember those who voted against their wishes.
I actually do know weapons kill. and thank you for pointing out that a nuclear bomb in the hands of an unstable man with a twisted mind is dangerous. Triggers don't pull themselves. Also, the term "renegade" could be taken by some to be insensitive and offensive. Do YOU have a problem with Native Americans? Shouldn't this type of "hate speech" have a law against it? The playing field should be level in the arena of supposition, don't you agree?
"In the next election, the 90% will remember those who voted against their wishes."Why would people start remembering now? Nobody has for over 200 years ...
@ Anon 12:33,So should countries that have actually attacked other countries using nuclear weapons be allowed to retain them? (I'll give you a hint: think WWII).Should the countries that have actually attacked another country with nuclear weapons be allowed to dictate which other countries can or cannot have them?If your answer is "no" to either of the above, why would you use the same nuclear killer government to disarm even more innocent, law-abiding people?
Pressure cooker cooks food and maybe used as a bomb. A gun kills and ...?
and defends, and harvests food for the pressure cooker (once you shoot that flogging rooster, you better pressure him for a LONG time), and punches holes in paper at fun competitions...
protects you from harm if you so see fit by your rights!
Supplies the food to cook.
provides food for your pressure cooker. Duh?
I own lots of guns and they have never killed anyone. They must be defective.
The question was "kills and?" Killing food for the cooker is killing too morons.
That being the case... a pressure cooker is nothing more than an excuse to kill... because you need something to put in it...
Anonymous? Really your going with the name Anonymous?
Anonymous ? Really your going with Anonymous ?
Anonymous ? Really your going with Anonymous as a name ?
"Your comment will be visible after approval."? Really?
uh, yes really :-}
Stay classy, Knoxville.
Uncalled for and insensitive.Furthermore, there have been over 3500 gun related deaths in the US since Sandy Hook. Drastically different numbers compared to your sad "joke" of pressure cookers or bombs.
Compare to the number of automobile deaths, or bathtub deaths. No, you don't get to ban guns, cars, or bathing, hippie.
First of all, how do you come up the with figure of 3500 gun related deaths since Sandy Hook? Do you have a valid list of these incodents or just making them up to look good?Second, background checks should not be modified to be so restictive to disqualify everybody from such purchases.Third, study your history to see what happens to an empire when the people loose their rights to defend themselves and their right to free speech.
I wonder how many of those 3500 deaths were caused by law abiding citizens?
What makes me sad is that there are so many people who live in this area who are not intelligent enough to be able to follow Campfield's reasoning here, his making a comparison to the demand for stricter gun laws.I'll tell you the problem many people around here have with Campfield - it is that they simply are not bright enough to begin to understand his way of thinking. This is a well-educated man, who studies the laws of other countries around the world, to see what might work here. He is young enough and smart enough to look for new solutions to old problems. And his problem is that many folks just cannot imagine such an approach!
AWESOME!!!!All you haters, here's your form.http://www.scribd.com/doc/7771818/Butt-Hurt-Report-FormAnd Stacy, I'm sure you've heard this before, but "when your throw a rock over a fence, the dog that barks is the dog you hit."Yep, the banners will have pressure cookers banned in no time flat. We'll be arguing about how many military features we can have on our crock pots. Mine's a 6qt, with a locking lid for easy transport. There's no way I'll be allowed to pass that on when I die.
Not so much awesome, but more astounding, to see how stupid some people are. ie. you
Wow Bob, what a gift of insight and articulation! such depth and complexity of thought.
Ananymous; In the future, anybody attempting to buy a pressure cooker must have a back ground check!
The tears of hippies are sweet.....
And how many of those deaths were by criminals who wouldn't be affected by your proposals, hippie? There's the only 90% that's close to valid.
How very appropriate, and funny as well. I heard on the news 125% of Americans are for banning pressure cookers, and 141% want all pressure cookers registered, because at any moment a pressure cooker could attack. The progressives are ignorant on the functionality and reality of firearms, and so they are scared of them. The media continuously spills their bile to fuel even more ignorance, and the progressives eat it up like Pelosi at the botox center. Good one Campfield, keep stirring the pot, many are behind you!
What about fertilizer plants? They kill too!!! We need to ban fertilizer plants!! 132% of people don't trust them anyhow!
Calm down! He's trying to show the illogical views of so-called assault weapons being more dangerous from their outward appearances.
You people are morons. An 8 year old boy was killed. Is there something in the water down there in TN. Oh- I remember- you had that toxic coal ash incident......Better go use some of that health care that you don't want other people to have- vampires
How unfortunate that pressure cooker wasn't placed right at the feet of this moron! Think of the tremendous favor that would have done to the State of Tennessee, by taking one more idiot off the streets.
I think I like this senator's views. If his backbone doesn't turn to gel on the issues of Gun Rights and Traditional Marriage he'll have my following.
Good post. Screw the morons complaining that this is insensitive. Its not your fault that they lack the intelligence to see the real sarcastic message that you are trying to convey.
Article is appropriate and valid. And anyone with two brain cells can see the correlation between this and the recent attack on the Second Amendment.
You have my vote!
"You've got police all over the place..." ~Dianne Feinstein~ And just who did they protect asked the three dead and over 180 wounded...?
Funny as hell! What is even more funny is all the little socialists on here ranting and raving about the terrible pressure cooker and not one word about the terrible Islamic Terrorists! Yet they are even trying to defend them, what is this country coming to?
this is showing hypocrisy towards the gun control besides he can do whatever he wants we have the bill of rights I call it "FREEDOM!"
My name is Jerry just so I'm not so anonymous. Do not apologize for this post. Stand for what you believe in. It's not being unsympathetic to the unbelievably and terribly horrific bombing that happened in Boston. It's about people kill people and the double standards of a lot government officials today that are so strongly pushing their own agenda. I'm working up a list of people that I will be voting against when the time comes, and getting my friends to vote them out too, and you are not one of them sir.
Dear gun lovers,Your 2nd amendment won't change, but 90% of Americans believe that there should be stricter background checks. If you are not a criminal or mentally unstable, you will have no problem protecting yourself against "the bad guys." It's only a matter of time and screaming and yelling in a comment section won't change that.
100% of Americans didn't take any poll, so your magical number means nothing.
That is not true. Obama's statistics are fake and it's been proven. They asked a total of 4000 people in 3 states "do you support background checks to save lives?" Or some such nonsensical loaded question. Just keep blindly following everything obama tells you, i'm sure he has your best interest in mind.
It may not really be 90%,some are smart enough to vote several times and tell it to the media, so, it's probably not exactly 90%.
Senator, please ignore the haters and the Butthurt Brigade. It makes an excellent point about just how foolish "gun control" laws are--and that's what hurts them the most.
Senator Stacey Campbell has been added to my "favorite people" list, right next to Dana Loesch, Bruce Willis, and Robert A Heinlein.
I am totally in agreement with you. I personally posted a similar photo to my facebook account on April 17th.
Perhaps instead of making stupid jokes you should consider banning the gunpowder used to make these bombs.
Senator, Let me just thank you for giving a cold slap of reality right in the face of the Democrat socialist gun grabbing idiots foaming all over this blog post. In one picture, you have exposed their hypocrisy and ignorance regarding firearms and personal rights. My parents didn't work their asses off to bring us to America so we can have a better life, nor did the hundreds of thousands of men who died on foreign battlefields give their lives so that our natural God given rights would be arbitrarily restricted by statists posing as Democrats.God bless you Sir.With best regards,A non-white, non-Christian, immigrant, minority Conservative Republican.
Spot on! Thank you for speaking the truth and not caving to political pressure [no pun intended].
Though I am Democrat from California, I applaud your efforts. You should stand strong in your convictions.I live in an area where gun crime goes relatively unreported by the media, yet we have some of the strictest gun laws in the nation though it seems that more are on the way. Now they're trying to pass something that allocates more money to gun confiscations and various other draconian laws.I don't agree with you on a lot of things, but that doesn't mean I can't agree with you on this point.P.S. I did not vote for Feinstein.
This is a hilarious post, Senator! I really appreciate that people in positions such as yours are willing to speak freely about the double standard that some gun control activists attempt to push. I know this post has gotten you a lot of negative media attention, but I hope that you continue to refuse to apologize for such apt (all be it satirical) comparison to anti-firearm legislation! To everyone who finds this offensive, it's time you grow up and learn to look at things from more than your one, immature perspective!
Explain to me how "mature" it is to make fun of terrorist attacks- and thus the people they hurt and kill- in order to get a point across.
Beautiful, this is awesome. Love from PA.
Senator Feinstein was in City Hall when a Republican with a gun came in and assassinated the Mayor - a husband and father - and the gay councilman this Republican blamed for his utter failures as a husband, father, and provider - Senator Feinstein was in City Hall that day for the panic, the blood, the tears - Senator Feinstein was there when SF heart broke. She was there for the riots when Dan White was given 4 years because like all Republicans - and all gun owners - he blamed everyone but himself. Senator Feinstein was still Mayor when White was released and used a gun to kill himself.Only a Republican could see the carnage in Boston and think it was yet another chance to argue for the right for anyone anywhere at anytime to have a gun - only a gun owner could look at the deaths and crippling of other Americans and see a joke.
(Org Glenn Beck Program)Why would anyone need a Pressure Cooker that holds more than two chickens?
Ever think of canning? My mother used to have one that would hold 12, 1Qt mason Jars.
Putting all the outrage aside...It's just a completely ludicrous argument. Pressure cookers are made and sold to cook food, that is their purpose. If some maniac decides to modify it to cause mass harm, then clearly that is unfortunate. However, as cooker pressure is not designed to kill. Guns are made to kill. Assault weapons are made specifically to kill people. Now who should have access to guns and how this all pans out is for the American people to decide. But to use this stupid pressure cooker analogy is dumb and childish, and adds nothing to the debate.
thank you - well put.
Joe Biden in front of the slain officers family.....Hey did you hear the one about......
Well played, Senator
I don't care who you are......THAT'S FUNNY!!!!
Thankyou Yahoo for showing me the true Conservatives by doing your best to put them down.
* 1999 - NRA position to support background checks was there when Mr. LaPierre himself stated that NRA saw checks as “reasonable”* According to a Johns Hopkins University study, 74% NRA members say they support background checks* 91% of Americans think Background Checks is a good idea.I'm not sure what we are debating. When in our recent history have we ever come to a 91% agreement on anything? You may have your opinions - but you can't argue with the facts.
Instead of making outlandish posts to create sensationalism for your personal agendas, why not work on solving our country's problems.
Diane Feinstein AGAIN, indeed! Because she's been actually serving with nobility in office for decades, as opposed to the opportunistic tea-filled dirtbag Campfield. All the rightwingers will have a hearty laugh before returning to their manufactured self-righteous rages and rantings. Ugh, they're so disgusting.
Feinstein is the worst politician to come down the pike in the last 20 years. Why is she still in office at 80 years old? One would think she might want to enjoy life instead of enriching hers and her husbands through kickbacks. Have you heard the drivel coming out of her mouth? Only in this whack state that I live in, could she ever get elected. She is an embarrasment to California and the United States.
Well done, Stacey! The way to make progs foam at the mouth is ..... to tell the truth. Particularly when you tell the truth with wit.
Moron . . .
2011 US Statistics323 by Assault Weapons496 by hammers650+ by knives12,000+ by drunk drivers195,000+ by medical malpracticeStates and countries with tight gun control laws, have a far higher degree of homicides. 37 of the top 50 countries in the world, ban all firearms, yet have the highest per capita death by firearm rates (UN data). In history, guns provided the great equalizer, allowing those that are not the most physically strong, to be on an equal footing with the former centuries of oppression by the powerful and strong. Removing one's ability to defend oneself against a physically superior force, is a major step towards subjugation and oppression. The NRA was formed to fund gun purchases for freed slaves to defend themselves after slavery ended. 100% of all mass shooting in the US in the last 30 years, have been by people that were, or had been, in anti-depressants, operated in gun free zones, and none were conservatives. Liberals see what they believe; conservatives believe what they see.
Background checks - unless they overturn Health Information Privacy and Accountability Act - will not contain the information to meet the stated objectives. Even the ACLU is opposed to this, as they fought - successfully - years ago, to get the mentally unstable, as well as criminally insane, allowed back on the streets. There is a National Information Criminal System for background checks already in existence, although the data within it is constrained by other laws. Fix what is in place - we don't need more laws, we need the handcuffs removed from existing tools. Having the tools in place, with garbage data, will produce garbage results.
Wow, you're a monster.
Hear hear!! We should ban spoons, they make us all fat. Lets not forget to ban knives before someone goes on a stabbing rampage. Cars, get rid of those, someone may run into a crowd. May as well have your fists surgically removed, don't want you to bludgeon someone to death with those. No more sharp sticks, trees are hearby banned, no more baseball, crowd may go bonkers and "batty". I hear nothing but ignorant reasons to allow our rights to be removed. You want gun violence to end? Hang yourself and it's not a problem anymore. In fact, you will solve quite a number of problems. World hunger will go down a smidge, the collective intelligence of this country will go up, there will be less waste, less air pollution, less noise pollution and in the end you will also help with population control. So please, if you are tired of the gun violence, I'm sure you can buy a bit of rope from the hardware store, if you are unsure as to how to tie a noose: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJwsJXbS_Ok
I think that any device that has at least one of these characteristics must be banned as well...
Thanks, "Think Progress" (oxymoron) for linking to this so I could find and save the graphic. I intend to use it whenever I have to point out the pointlessness of the silly laws lefties propose that will do nothing to actually solve any problem, and particularly the problem of gun violence in the bit cities they govern. Oh, and their hypocrisy.FYI: http://www.abc4.com/content/news/top_stories/story/conceal-and-carry-stabbing-salt-lake-city-smiths/NDNrL1gxeE2rsRhrWCM9dQ.cspxAnd remember, pots don't kill people. People kill people.
I have to get laugh out of these lefist crack heads. First they want our guns, next the Pressure Cookers. First off I have yet to see a gun kill someone. I have several guns loaded around my house and they have yet to kill someone, my pressure cooker has yet to jump out at someone to kill them. What's next the spoon because it makes fat people fatter?I think people better start waking up and get back into the real world.
The spoon, indeed! You have only to look at Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell to see the travesty of allowing spoons. As for this picture, I have uploaded it and shared it on facebook. It will forever live on the internet. Bravo, Senator Campfield! Bravo! This Connecticut conservative (yes, we do exist) salutes you.
You gun control Libturds make me laugh. Your hypocrisy and lies just proves that your argument against guns isn't worth an ear to listen to. Keep crying when your lies and hypocrisy are exposed and called out. Your complaints and crying are music to my ears, and your tears are yummy.
The Second Amendment, as the rest of the Bill of Rights, is an acknowledgement of our natural born rights, not a granting. The entire Bill of Rights is about keeping the governments in their place. The Second Amendment is about the common person's right to own weapons of war so that we can keep the governments in their place by keeping the 'monopoly on force' in the hands of the people where it belongs, as in 'We the people.' Remember that? It will not be infringed any further and the 'gun laws' in existence will be repealed. End of discussion.Guns don't kill, governments do. Gun free zones are the problem, they allow armed criminals to kill. Arm the teachers, the administrators and the parents. Don't allow the "Liberal"(commie) trash who control the so-called educational system to teach mindless pacifism that is ensconced in their arrogance of false civility. If we have violent criminals in prison who have been convicted of a crime and can't be trusted with weapons why is the govt. turning them back out on the street? So they can point at them and say "See, the sheeple can't be trusted with guns." The 'crime' argument is a red herring.Time to repeal all of the ‘gun laws’ including GCA ‘68 and the NFA; Shut down the evil BATF Nazis and try them for treason, and murder where appropriate and distribute their retirement funds among their victims; Then enforce the Bill of Rights on places such as Commiefornia and New Yawk and Chigawgo and if necessary bring the troops home and have them restore Liberty here and remove Amerika’s natural born traitors in the process. Millions will dig the ditch they are told to dig then wet their pants when the machine gun bolts slam home and die stupidly wondering “How did this happen to me?” The tiny minority will have to do what will be required. It’s time to stop arguing over the culture war. It’s time to stop hunkering down for the apocalypse. It’s time to stop waiting to get beamed up. It’s time to start thinking Normandy. If you sit home waiting your turn you deserve to have your gun taken from your cold dead hands. The Founders didn’t wait for the Brits to knock down their doors. They gathered at the green and stood up like men and they killed government employees all the way back to Boston. What will you do when it’s time to hunt NWO hacks, republicrats and commies(“Liberals” and ‘progressives’)?Don't understand? Go to willowtowndotcom and read the quotes page first. Then read my column "Prepping for Slavery."
You liberals make no sense. You want to ban guns, however, you call police, who are armed with...lets hear it, GUNS! And you pukes actually count on the police to save you? It takes between 10 to 30 minutes on average for police to arrive to the common armed burglary call. It takes only 2 seconds to change all that being armed with a gun. Most of you actually believe that by taking away law abiding citizens guns, that criminals will do the same? Criminals already get guns illegally as it is, either by stealing or buying illegally. And now you're going to throw a fit over a pressure cooker joke? Immediately after Sandy Hook, everyone was all on board about banning guns, however if some of those teachers had been armed, it never would have happened. To stop bad people with guns, you have to have good people with guns, yet you throw all gun owners into the same pot as criminals, and that's an unfair and completely uneducated assumption, and if anyone thinks for just a second that you'll ever have a chance of getting American gun owners to willingly hand over our firearms, you are sadly mistaken. If it wasn't for firearms, this country would not even EXIST. Next to God and Liberty, guns are a namesake of this country. Even IF Congress were to pass an anti-gun law, it would be in defiance and blatant disregard of the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution, therefore, it would not be a enforceable or followable law, so in turn, it would be deemed null and void. And I promise you all this, and call me wrong if you want, but history has and always will continue to repeat itself, and if we give up the Second Amendment, there's nothing left to stop them from taking the rest. One quote I would like to reference to that seems appropriate for this situation, is that the beauty of the second amendment is that it is not needed, until they try to take it away. In conclusion, I would like to give you all a reality check, if for a minute you truly believe that all these massacres and tragedies are not coincidental and smell staged to high heaven, and that our own government could not become corrupt and usurpative, then you just do not know your history. Everything that is happening, everything that our leaders are doing, is pushing us further and further away from a Constitutional Republic (for those of you who don't know your American history, we are NOT a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic), and closer and closer towards Socialism. I have no hope for people who believe everything the Major news networks and their government tells them. The reason we have the rights that we do now is to prevent a government from enslaving it's people.
If the only purpose for a firearm is to kill then why do the police have them.
This is brilliant! Keep up the good work, Senator!
Nice post and two thumb up for you !
