On line schools in grades k-12 are growing here in Tennessee. Brick and mortar schools hate them and say the results are bad for the students but the other side will argue they fill a need for a segment of students that do not respond well in traditional schools. They are also often the last outpost for those about to quit school so the quality of student walking in the virtual door is not the same.
This next near should be interesting to see how they are handled. The brick and mortars want them gone as they take students away from their schools and students equate to money for them.
